In the presence of the industry's leading personalities, and highly distinguished diners, this year's 20th Nestlé Toque d'Or 2008, winner's ceremony was held at The Dorchester, the high profile and glamorous London venue on the 18th July and compered by TV presenter Mark Durden-Smith.
The winning Carlisle team; comprising of Michael Betts, Matthew Rayson, Nick Deeble, Alexandra Brown, Anthony Gray and Julie Cormack, was presented with its award by David Field, Managing Director of Nestlé Professional and celebrated Chef, Anton Mosimann, OBE, at the glittering ceremony. Judging the competition - in the gruelling heats and finals which took place at the BBC Good Food Show Summer - had been Chefs Roger Narbett, Alan Murchison, Wayne Child and hygiene guru Geoff Ward.
The team was awarded with a range of fantastic prizes, embracing the many facets of this diverse catering industry, including a master class with Alan Murchison at his renowned Michelin starred restaurant, L'Ortolan, the team have also been invited as personal guests of Anton Mosimann at Mosimann's where they'll sample fine dining at its very best. And if all that wasn't enough, the NEC has invited them to play a vital part in catering for over 2,000 people at a major event it's hosting, and having had that phenomenal experience, stardom looms as the BBC Good Food Show welcomes Carlisle to appear as VIP guests in one of its shows. |
